Board grants extension for property violations at Jeffreys Neck Road

Board of Health granted cleanup extension and septic variance.

Board of Health · Meeting of September 14, 2026

IPSWICH — Board of Health granted cleanup extension and septic variance. Chair Susan Hubbard moved, with unanimous Board approval, to extend the violation correction deadline to October 14 for 82 Jeffreys Neck Road, where property owner Roland Kelley Jr. must address debris and junk accumulation; Health Inspector John Morris will reinspect, and non-compliance will result in criminal charges. In a separate unanimous vote, the Board approved a variance for Eric Baca to add a screen porch at 8 Hickory Lane without requiring a Title 5 septic inspection.

Director of Public Health Colleen Fermon reported that an ongoing housing enforcement case at 1 Appomattox Road remains unresolved, with the homeowner failing to appear in court and an arrest warrant issued.
