Board grants septic variance for Meadowview Road property

Board of Health · Meeting of January 12, 2026

Ipswich Board of Health approves two-year soil testing variance for septic replacement. The board unanimously granted William and Amanda Harrington a variance to extend soil testing results from 2008 through January 12, 2028 for a septic system replacement at 21 Meadowview Road. Daniel Johnson of Domestic Septic Design represented the applicants, noting the property contains sufficient naturally occurring pervious material for the replacement leaching field.

Director of Public Health Colleen Fermon will confirm the required four feet of soil exists during design review and installation.
