Commission approves waivers for two wetland projects

Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 6, 2026

Ipswich Conservation Commission unanimously approves waivers for two significant wetland development projects. The votes authorized work in protected buffer zones for a basketball court at 112 Town Farm Road and an equestrian trail spanning Chebacco and Candlewood Road properties. Abutter Paul Barese objected during public comment to the basketball court, citing risks to septic systems, but the commission approved both projects and closed the public hearings.

The commission also ratified an Enforcement Order at 19 Waldingfield Road and approved a Formal Amendment at 1-5 Rosewood Drive with a smaller footprint and reduced impervious surface.
