IPSWICH — Committee establishes $1000 per person fund for recovery assistance. The Opioid Settlement Funds Advisory Committee, chaired by Colleen Fermon, Director of Public Health, unanimously approved a community support award capping assistance at $1000 per year for Ipswich residents seeking treatment and recovery expenses, with payments to service providers upon invoice. The committee also unanimously allocated $2000 to the Middle School Extended Day Program; since December, monthly attendance has grown from 17 to 52 students, with the funds supporting approximately $300 monthly costs for food and supplies.
