Conservation Commission Approves Farm Lease, Issues Infrastructure Permits

Ipswich Conservation Commission unanimously approves farm lease renewal and infrastructure permits. Chair Jennifer Hughes led approval of the Marini Farm Lease renewal with Ipswich Open Space, a 40-year-old operation, with updated provisions for worker's compensation and rental rate adjustments after five years. The Ipswich Water Department received approval for a gas main line installation adjacent to the Water Treatment Plant with waivers for protected wetland zones and conditions for erosion controls and site inspections.
The Ipswich Country Club received approval for irrigation-pond pipe repair with conditions for rock or stone support and removal of unnatural materials. The commission continued 14 pending applications to future meeting dates.
