Ipswich Open Space Committee unanimously backs Planning Director's micro forest grant application. Planning Director Alan Manoian's Cooling Corridors Grant application, presented by Open Space Program Manager Asma Syed, proposes a Miyawaki pocket forest at Ipswich High School/Middle School grounds. The ultra-dense plantings grow up to 10 times faster than conventional plantations and require just 1,000 square feet of space.
