Planning Board Approves Water Treatment Plant Special Permit

Ipswich Planning Board unanimously approves water treatment plant special permit and site plan review. The board approved the Special Permit and Site Plan Review for a Municipal Drinking Water Treatment Plant at 274 High Street, with Planning Director Alan Manoian calling the project important to Ipswich's future. Water and Wastewater Director Vicki Halmen said the site, 1,200 feet from the nearest abutter, will be gated and will not interfere with area trails.

The board also continued four applications to March 19 and released $3,303.71 from dormant 53G peer review accounts.
