Ipswich Select Board appointed Amy Cinq-Mars to the Finance Committee, rejecting applicant Christopher Carroll. Board member Sarah Player cited Cinq-Mars's small-business background and newcomer status; Linda D. Alexson said such owners bring needed financial perspective.
The appointment passed unanimously for a three-year term ending June 30, 2029. The board also confirmed Marc Simon to the Zoning Board of Appeals for one year and approved three one-day beer and mead licenses for October.
