IPSWICH — Select Board approves Building Department permit fee increases, with effective date of July 1, 2026. Building Commissioner Jim Bone presented Option B, which the five-member board approved unanimously after reviewing fee adjustments for building, mechanical, plumbing, gas, fire, signage, and certificates of inspection. The Board also unanimously reappointed Clark Ziegler to the Strategic Planning Committee and Jack Greaney as associate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, appointed Carl Nylen to the Paine Grant Committee, approved a provisional commercial clamming permit for Alexander Jepson subject to state compliance, and authorized Chair Charles Surpitski to sign a letter of support for the Fire Department's $120,000 State Marine Equipment Grant.
