Select Board (Formerly Board of Selectmen) · Meeting of June 22, 2026

Ipswich Select Board adopted five fiscal 2027 strategic goals in a unanimous vote: Electric Light Governance and Transition, Downtown Community Planning, Town Charter Review, Select Board Operations and Policies, and Long-Term Financial Planning. Chair Michael S. Dougherty presented the strategic framework as part of a capital planning exercise that will examine funding scenarios to assess their impacts on taxpayers.

Vice Chair Carl Nylen is directing development of a capital planning model for presentation to town leadership at a late-August tri-board meeting. The Board unanimously reappointed Susie Green to the Library Board of Trustees and approved seven reappointments to other town boards and committees, plus seven liquor licenses for summer events at Castle Hill Picnic Concerts.
