Select Board (Formerly Board of Selectmen) · Meeting of July 8, 2026
IPSWICH — The Select Board continued its strategic planning exercise on capital investments, assigning Sarah Player to draft a prioritization rubric. The Board has been modeling roof, water, wastewater, and Open Space projects and discussed whether Tri-Board thresholds of $500 annually and $2,800 over 10 years remain realistic. To guide decisions, the Board discussed criteria including life safety, public health, economic benefit, and availability of outside funding.
Strategic Planning Committee member Jim Engel described a weighted scoring process from school site selection and suggested a similar approach. Once finalized, the rubric will help determine which projects to prioritize and model in the Board's financial forecasts.
