IPSWICH — Water Subcommittee voted unanimously on sewer extension and rate factor. The Ipswich Water & Wastewater Subcommittee approved a recommendation for a 491-foot sewer extension to serve 31 Jeffreys Neck Road in a 5-0 vote after engineer L. Graham reviewed technical details.

The subcommittee also voted unanimously to maintain the 1.5 seasonal rate factor for residential water rates in 2026, with M. Dougherty recommending the approach while the base rate increases to address capital improvement costs. The subcommittee received status updates on the Town Wharf Sewer Pump Station Relocation Project, which has secured a $282,000 MVP grant and a $15 million FEMA Hazard Mitigation grant, and the $49.6 million Drinking Water Treatment Plant Project, which awaits final approvals before authorization to bid is expected in late April.
