IPSWICH — The Ipswich School Committee voted unanimously to revise its Feoffees' Distribution Policy, adding a category for recurring classroom enrichment spending. Sasha Sopic told members the Feoffees trust, worth roughly $47 million, will distribute about $1.2 million this year, nearly double its total five years ago. An override calculator presented at the meeting showed the district's next override could reach $15 million even after planned cuts, down from a $22 million baseline.

Committee member Paul argued the board should tell the Select Board "here's our best advice on how to spend that money" before further cuts are finalized. Members also approved Section J policies except one on athletics, appointed Grace Garrison, Andrew Bunnell and Erin Mary to the Paine Grant Committee, and accepted $750 and $871 in donations for student programs.
