Select Board approves DEP grant funds for trash enterprise.

Select Board (Formerly Board of Selectmen) · Meeting of April 2, 2026

IPSWICH — Select Board votes to direct DEP grant funds for trash toters to general fund. The Board voted 4-0 to place Department of Environmental Protection grant money into the General Fund rather than the Enterprise Fund, rejecting a proposal to increase the Finance Committee Reserve Fund by $5,000 that failed for lack of a second. The Board also unanimously approved transferring $240,000 from the FY26 Capital Plan for the Winthrop School modular project to Article 9 of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant and redirecting the funds to Capital Stabilization, with nine NORESCO energy efficiency projects scheduled for completion by June 2026.
